What's Your Story?

Open House Journal LLC is a real estate writing service that claims: "Houses tell stories." It is owned and operated by Barbara Leiding. Here is her story:

I understand real estate agents. I know what makes them tick. They are bold enough to venture into the high stakes game of real estate and wise enough to know how to play it.

With amazing agility, they juggle multiple deals at the same time and gain the trust of buyers and sellers by delivering insightful advice with reassuring smiles.

Despite their many talents, most realtors have one shortcoming. Or maybe two:

"Why aren't agents branding themselves by leveraging their unique personality traits? And why do real estate brochures all sound the same?"

I launched Open House Journal to assure top agents retain their place in the sun. They already proved themselves as knowledgeable and effective, but new agents are entering the field faster than than McDonald's doles out fries. That's why I created two ways to raise your visibility and that of your listings, too:

Agent Q&A Interviews can be reveal their personalities. Beyond the allure of the properties themselves are the real estate agents who list them. No two realtors are exactly the same.

Property Feature Stories are viable alternatives to conventional brochures. Long after a list of facts are tossed to the wind, feature stories capture the imagination. Sellers will be thrilled to read about their homes. Buyers will be inspired to buy.

Best of all, your Property Feature Stories and Agent Q&A Interviews extend the life of your marketing campaigns when you share them on your:

  • Social Media
  • New Listing Presentations
  • Email Campaigns
  • Agent Websites
  • Press Releases
  • Open House Materials.

Your collection of listings will be only part of your real estate story. As a top agent, you can offer more when you leverage your personality. Told in an interview-style format, your personality will leap off the page and be appealing when they are presented in a candid Agent Q&A Interview.

Authenticity is everything today, especially when the real estate business goes beyond brick and mortar. The service top agents provide is more intimate and life-defining than the service even a hairdresser offers. And who among us could do without a stylish do?

I cannot fix your curls, split ends or bald spot, but I guarantee I can brand you with a provocative Agent Q&A Interview. The results will prove that you, as a top realtor, speak to your sellers and buyers from the heart.

A Royal Walk in the Park

The King of Morocco once owned Natirar, now part of the Somerset County Park Commission

Every town has its favored park, a public space reserved for ball games, fireworks and sitting on benches to contemplate nature. But when is a park more than a park?

   A. When you can bring your horse and people must yield in your path.

   B. When the King of Morocco once owned it, but never actually lived in the historic estate that tops it.

   C. When a black tie wedding reception is in progress, while joggers and dog walkers are dressed in tee shirts and sneakers.

The correct answer is all of the above. The curious experience of Natirar is not only in its curious name (Natirar is "Raritan" spelled backwards), but also about
